Flapjacks
A standard chewy and filling oat flapjack which can be used as the basis for many variations

- 170 g margarine
- 100 g caster sugar
- 170 p porridge oats
- 60 g self raising flour
- A pinch of salt
- 2-3 tsp of Golden Syrup optional
Cooking
Melt the margarine in a pan over low heat
Add the sugar and stir until dissolved
(Optional) Add the golden syrup and continue stirring
Remove from the heat
Mixing
Add the oats, sifted flour and salt into the warm mixture
Stir until everything is completely coated
Pour the mixture into the baking tin and level it off
